Susanne Keuneke

Susanne Keuneke was born in 1970. She studied sociology, communications and political science at the University of Münster. In 1998 she received a PhD for her dissertation on "Media Reception and Gender Construction – the Role of Picture Books in the Early Stages of Gender Socialisation". Since 1999 Susanne Keuneke has worked at the University of Düsseldorf, first as an Assistant Professor and now as a Senior Lecturer. The foci of her scientific work lie on computer mediated communication, media reception and media effects, and popular culture.
